Aromatherapy is the practice of using scent in the form of essential oils, to promote the achievement of a certain emotional or physical state. Essential oils have been proven so effective they are now used in homeopathic and holistic medicine for a multitude of ailments as well as to simply maintain and foster both mental and physical well being.

Scent is one of the most influential senses we possess. It can trigger vivid memories, make your mouth water, and even alert us of something potentially dangerous. Medicinally, it can be used for a variety of applications, including pain relief, mood enhancement and increased cognitive function. There are a wide number of essential oils available, each with its own healing properties.

At Clover Acupuncture & Wellness Studio, we use Revive essential oils because they are gently and carefully distilled from plants which have been harvested at the perfect moment by experienced growers from around the world for ideal composition and efficacy. Also, each Revive essential oil is thoroughly tested using strict CPTG Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade® quality protocol.

Aromatherapy can be performed in several different ways:

  • Aromatically: This is done by diffusing a combination of essential oils into the air (or just one single oil) using an oil diffuser or by inhaling oils through the nostrils directly off of a cloth or from the bottle.

  • Internally: Certain essential oils have a rich culinary history and can be used as dietary supplements supporting a variety of healthy conditions. When you sprinkle cinnamon on your oatmeal, sip a mug of peppermint tea, or add fresh basil leaves to your spaghetti, you are actually consuming some volatile aromatic essential oil compounds. Many Doterra essential oils can be used in place of fresh herbs and spices.

  • Topically: This is done by receiving massage therapy utilizing oils, soaking in an oil-infused bath, or rubbing oils directly onto the skin.
